POSITION: Treatment Nurse

Purpose: The Treatment Nurse is responsible for the treatment and wound care provided to assigned residents.

Requirements for Success on our Team:

• Current Nurse License

• Detail Oriented

• Experience in skilled nursing/or sub-acute care setting preferred, but not required

• Excellent customer service skills; dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare services

• Excellent ability to operate effectively and efficiently in an enthusiastic, resident- focused, work environment

• Current experience in the treatment of skin conditions and wounds

• Critical thinking and problem solving abilities

• Desire to be a part of the new generation of healthcare professionals

Responsibilities:

• Assess resident's skin condition by doing complete body assessment on admission, re-admission, and return from day, night or extended leave of absence

• Initiate the Nurse Skin and Wound Report

• Initiate and complete all treatments as prescribed by attending physician

• Ensure that all sites of skin problems are identified and documented on the nursing assessment form upon admission

• Ensure that all skin problems and pressure ulcers are documented on the plan of care

• Perform weekly skin assessments on all assigned residents, document and submit findings to Director of Nurses and Interdisciplinary Team members

• Track and trend wounds on a monthly basis and report to QAPI Committee

• Participate in QAPI Performance Committee in regard to skin outcomes
